Dr Santosh Krishna Haram, a post doctorate in electrochemistry has around 16 years of experience in teaching. Dr Haram has specialized in physical chemistry, electrical chemistry and chemistry of nanophase materials. Currently, he is working as an associate professor with the University of Pune in Pune, Maharashtra.
Dr Haram believes in using different analogies to introduce the concepts to his students. According to him, chemistry is an experimental science and when concepts are demonstrated, they are understood better and in a simpler way by the students.
According to him, it is important to make the students realize how we are surrounded by chemicals and chemical reactions in our life. Showing a simple concept like how turmeric stain turns red from yellow when it comes in contact with soap, will help the children understand the concept of chemical reactions better.
